FCSports' annual wine tasting event, now in its second year as the Sip 'N' Stroll Around The Bowl, took place on Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Club Suites at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium.  The even helped select the wines and champagne served during future FCSports events in the 2006-07 season, and also featured a charity wine raffle.

Three of the biggest names in college football visited Orlando on Tuesday, Aug. 29 for the FCSports Speaker Series. ACC Commissioner John Swofford, Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany and SEC Commissioner Mike Slive participated in the biggest event in Speaker Series history, appearing together at the Embassy Suites Hotel Downtown Orlando for a discussion on Orlando, the bowl system and all of college athletics.

Florida Citrus Sports Names Steve Hogan Executive Director

FCSports announced today the appointment of Steve Hogan as the new Executive Director of the not-for-profit organization that produces more than 70 annual events including three premier college football games, the Florida Classic, the Capital One Bowl and the Champs Sports Bowl.

CompassLearning, Inc has donated web-based learning services worth nearly $30,000 worth to the Warren Sapp Computer Lab at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. These services will benefit the numerous educational programs for children and young adults supported annually by the FCSports Foundation.

Florida Citrus Sports welcomed University of Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr to Orlando on Friday, June 23 for its first Speaker Series event of 2006-07. Speaking to a crowd of FCSports members and guests, he addressed a number of topics about college football and about the outlook for the 2006 Wolverines.

Football fans in Central Florida had a chance to meet 63 players selected in the National Football League Draft through Florida Citrus Sports (FCSports) events. Drafted players gained experience in the Central Florida area through events such as the Cingular ABC Sports All-America Celebration, Capital One Bowl, Champs Sports Bowl and The Villages Gridiron Classic and the Walt Disney World Florida Classic.
