Where does the parade begin?
Orange Avenue and Robinson Street. The parade continues south on Orange Avenue, east on Anderson Street, then north on Rosalind Avenue. The parade concludes at Rosalind Avenue and Robinson Street. 1.4 miles in length.
What time may I arrive?
Public curbside seating is available as early as 6:00AM. Grandstand seating (which is available for purchase) opens at 9:00AM.
How can I purchase grandstand seats?
Beginning October 1, 2011, you can purchase tickets online by visiting www.FCSports.com. You may also call the Florida Citrus Sports Ticket Office at (407) 423-2476. General admission grandstand tickets are $23 each. Children two (2) years of age or younger may sit on an adults lap, otherwise they need a separate ticket. Handicap accommodations are available.
When will I receive my tickets?
Tickets will be mailed to you via Fed Ex or can be held at the Will Call table adjacent to the grandstands, opening at 9:00AM. Purchases made within two weeks of the parade will be left at Will Call.
Where is the grandstand seating located?
Grandstand seating is located at Lake Eola Park on Rosalind Avenue (between Central Avenue and Robinson Street). The grandstands open at 9:00AM.
What are some of the rules and regulations as a spectator of the parade?
- Grandstand ticket holders will not be allowed to bring backpacks, coolers or large bags.
- You must vacate the grandstands if you would like to smoke.
- Overnight camping is not permitted the night before the parade.
- Blankets, chairs, private coolers, must remain on the curb along the parade route.
- Tents, umbrellas, scaffolding, barbeques and alcohol are prohibited along the parade route.
- No items may be sold along the parade route without an official parade permit.
- Throwing any item onto the parade route is prohibited.
- Vehicles obstructing emergency lanes will be towed.
- Walking in the street once the parade has started is not permitted.
- Restrooms are located behind the grandstands.
Where can I park prior to the parade?
Paid parking is offered on a first-come, first-served basis at various lots and parking structures near the parade route. All “No Parking” areas and red curb zones remain off-limits, and vehicles in violation will be subject to impound and a fine. There is no parking allowed on the parade route. The following parking garages/lots are recommended for parade day parking:
- Lot 9 – located at 57 South Hughey Avenue, under Interstate 4.
- Lot 10 – located at 81 North Hughey Avenue, near I-4 between Washington St. & Central Blvd.
- Garland Parking Lot – located at 109 West Pine Street
- Church Street Garage – located at 150 South Hughey Avenue
- Thornton Park Central Garage – located at 10 North Summerlin Avenue. Garage entrances are located on North Eola Drive and East Washington Street.
Are there places to purchase food and beverage?
Official food and beverage vendors are located at Washington Square Plaza along Rosalind Avenue at Lake Eola Park. For a list of local downtown restaurants, visit www.cityoforlando.net .
How can I help decorate a citrus float?
The majority of citrus floats are decorated by volunteers at the Orange County Convention Center four days prior to the event. For more information about volunteering, contact the Florida Citrus Sports Parade Department at (407) 423-2476.
When is the parade aired on television?
The parade is syndicated internationally from January 5, 2012 – January 8, 2012. Check your local listings and the Television Syndication link for exact dates and times. The parade broadcast is one (1) hour in length.
