First Team Selection Committee Meeting Moves To Amway Center

The first meeting of the Florida Citrus Sports Team Selection Committee will take place in the IOA Red, White and Blue room at the Amway Center. The meeting will still take place on Monday, Sept. 15 at 8:00 a.m. Selection Committee meetings are open to Florida Citrus Sports members only.

An Orlando tradition continued on Monday, September 8 as ESPN personality and college football icon Lee Corso joined Florida Citrus Sports for the annual Team Selection Committee Kickoff Dinner. Each year, the dinner is one of the most highly-anticipated events on the Florida Citrus Sports calendar, as members and VIP guests are treated to the unfiltered thoughts of "The Coach", one of the most endearing figures in the college football world.

Local sports media and 2014 FCSports Howard Palmer Award winner Paul Kennedy served as the master of ceremonies for the dinner and the straight man for Corso, who offered opinions on a wide range of topics from the College Football Playoff to the Heisman Trophy race.

Tickets to Florida Blue Florida Classic On Sale

Tickets for the 35th Annual Florida Blue Florida Classic, the traditional showdown between historically black institutions, Bethune-Cookman University and Florida A&M University, are now on sale to the general public. Notably, this year’s Classic will be the first game played in the reconstructed Orlando Citrus Bowl.

Tickets to America’s preeminent HBCU football game may be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, at the Amway Center box office, by phone (1.800.745.3000) or any Ticketmaster outlet. This year’s game will be played on Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. while being televised nationally on ESPN Classic. Ticket prices start at $15, while other seats are available at great prices ($27 goal line or lower-deck corner, $37 end zone, $52 sideline).
